Search engine optimisation - the age of your domain matters | Weboptim

From a search engine marketing perspective, the age of the domain name used for optimisation is a not insignificant factor.

Domains that are too young or recently purchased are not supported by Google search, so they usually do not make it to the top of the list. This is because Google wants to give more prominence to companies with a long and reliable track record. Therefore, if you are serious about website optimisation and you don't want to see results years later, it is advisable to use a domain that is at least 3 years old. Of course, there are exceptions, because for some words with a lower search volume, you can be on the first page after a few weeks of work.

In addition to the age of the Domain, it is of course a very important factor that the whether the domain name or URL contains our keyword. It also matters whether our words are contained together, separately or apart, and in what order.
