As opposed to paid links Link building is a link building strategy in which links are spread naturally. Not only can it be content, but it must be something that attracts attention and encourages visitors to link to your website. It is therefore of paramount importance from a marketing point of view. The importance of link building has increased significantly with Google's latest algorithm update (Google Penguin 2.0).
There are different types of Link Baiting:

Link building, whichever type you choose, is more time-consuming and creative than traditional link building. It's not enough to think of an average PR article, you need to write something that really grabs the attention of netizens. You need to create content that attracts visitors and encourages them to forward it, share it (on Twitter, Facebook, send it as an email, or link to it in text on a blog, for example).
It's true that creating unique, valuable content is time-consuming and not easy, but it's worth the effort. While a paid link or a link in a link directory only generates a link to your site, a well-done, really useful piece of content generates a lot. Moreover, by its very nature, the effect is delayed and therefore long-lasting. However, we should be careful not to be offensive if we want to be funny, and if we have a story, it should have a basis in fact.
